September 2009 is Designated as IH Awareness Month

IHRF, IH Brain Pain Team Sponsor September 2009 as IH Awareness Month

August 25, 2009—September 2009 has been officially designated as IH Awareness Month, designed to raise the general public’s awareness about chronic intracranial hypertension (IH). The month-long campaign for awareness is sponsored by IHRF and the IH Brain Pain Team, an online awareness and support network founded by the Richardson family of Missouri.

Both IHRF and the IH Brain Pain Team website offer suggestions for ways people affected by IH can share their experiences with the public. One way to help spread the word about IH and raise funds for research is by hosting a Brain Freeze Day popsicle sale for IHRF at your school or your child’s school in September. IHRF and the IH Brain Pain Team have developed a step-by-step guide for organizing a Brain Freeze Day. If you’d like to receive the guide or learn more a Brain Freeze Day, please send an email to contact@ihrfoundation.org and put “Brain Freeze Day Info” as the subject.
